JUNIOR PACKAGING ENGINEER (M/F/D) 100%

 

As a Junior Packaging Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design, development, and testing of package components and packaging systems. You will work closely with experienced packaging engineers, primarily in the packaging test laboratory, utilizing various testing equipment. Your primary focus will be on the bottle & cap portfolio, while also providing support for other packaging portfolios such as corrugate, bulk, label, fill & pack engineering. Additionally, you will be involved in data management tasks related to packaging specifications.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, development, and testing of package components & packaging systems to ensure regulatory compliance for transportation and product registration.
  • Provide maintenance and troubleshooting support to adjacent supply chain functions and end-users to ensure a safe user-friendly customer experience.
  • Perform data management tasks related to packaging specifications.
  • Provide supervised support to New Product Introduction (NPI) teams, ensuring all packaging-related milestones are completed on time

Must Haves:

  • B.S. in Packaging Engineering or correlated areas (Industrial Engineer, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.)
  • Ideally, approximately 2 years of professional experience as a Packaging Engineer (experience in a similar industry would be beneficial but not mandatory).
  • Experience in laboratory equipment for packaging measurement and testing is preferred.
  • Consult with more experienced engineers to ensure all packaging testing and qualification projects meet a high level of scientific integrity.
  • Work closely with other engineers to identify and deliver cost savings and efficiency opportunities.
  • Ability to work supervised or independently with all functions to deliver goals on key projects or initiatives.
  • Intermediate English level (C1 or equivalent), German (Swiss) local language proficiency would be beneficial.
